The third step – modelling
The animator selects the relevant polygonal 3D model(s) from our extensive library (we have models of every organ, and many tissues, cell types, medical and surgical instruments and other objects relating to medicine, surgery, and biotechnology). If we do not have the models that are required, we make custom models under your direction.
The fourth step – the creation of animatics (“rough cuts”)
The selected models are now used to create rough animations which show the paths that the
action will follow, such as a sequence required to explain spinal surgery.
The fifth and final step – completing the animations
In this last step, the animations are “rendered”, that is, the transparent polygonal models are given a “skin” which covers the “scaffolding” of the models. This covering “skin” may be transparent, semi-transparent or opaque according to the client’s wishes. Similarly, the Client is asked for his/her preferences regarding the colour and texture, etc. of the finished animations
Communication during production is done with our Content Management system. ABP’s CMS gives you the ability to view comment and approve each stage of pre-production and production.
